Carlene J. Brown, assistant professor at Seattle Pacific University, holds a B.A. in Music Education and Music Therapy, Emmanuel College; an M.A. in Systematic Musicology, University of Washington; and a Ph.D., Systematic Musicology, University of Washington. She is a Board Certified Music Therapist, CBMT, and director of SPU’s Music Therapy program, the first and only program in Music Therapy in the state of Washington.
